Description
Students are introduced to the methodologies of researching and writing a range of feature articles. They will critically analyse a variety of types of feature, while developing each week their own articles and style.

Learning Outcomes
1. Identify feature formats and theories.
2. Conceptualise and research primary and secondary features for a variety of media.
3. Pitch ideas and meet deadlines.
4. Interview and quote subjects.
5. Structure and write coherent features (including personal experience and information/service features, a profile, reviews and science, technical, aftermath, anniversary and depth series-features).
6. Display an awareness of critical issues in feature writing.
