Description
The purpose of this module is the development of observational and manipulative skills through experimental procedures which combine a wide range of classical, synthetic and spectroscopic techniques by augmenting and reinforcing the understanding and knowledge of various aspects of the 2nd year Inorganic lecture course.

Learning Outcomes
1. Perform basic synthetic chemical and analytical laboratory experiments.
2. Use a range of chemistry, spectroscopic and analytical instrumentation
3. Write a comprehensive laboratory report discussing the experimental results.
4. Illustrate and comprehend the chemical reactions arising in each chemical experiment.
5. Examine the theory behind each experiment and how it relates to each step of the experiment.
