Description
In this module, students will work together in groups to develop lessons and materials that tackle all disciplines in science - particularly interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary. After implementation within the classroom setting, evaluation criteria will be discussed. The module aims at developing knowledge and experience in critical evaluation of teaching and learning.

Learning Outcomes
1. Discuss critically teh role of investigations in teaching science
2. Participate in group work to plan, develop and evaluate materials for use in schools
3. Reflect critically on teaching and learning aspects of the lessons developed
4. Implement aspects of technology and IT appropriately into their lessons

Indicative Content and Learning Activities
This module is a mini project; students will select a particular topic of their choice and develop a 6 week module suitable for transition year science.The module must have elements of Biology, Physics and Chemistry, and have a large element of practical work. The module must be informative and of interest to those interested in science and also those who will not continue science at senior cycle..
