Learning Outcomes |
1. Illustrate and discuss basic concepts of microeconomics, such as how markets work, behaviour of the profit maximizing firm etc. 2. Relate theoretical concepts to the analysis of contemporary econonic phenomena, for example by reading, discussing and evaluating the analysis presented in academic papers or in publications from institutions such as the ESRI. 3. Outline the major theoretical differences between the keynesian and classical schools of thought 4. Discuss macroeconomic issues, such as growth, inflation and unemployment, with reference to the experience of the Irish economy
