Description
The purpsoe of this module is to develop proficiency at understanding language use at an advanced level; To explore ways in which syntax, grammar and usage are used in different textual and language settings; To develop an awareness of semantic distinctions; To enhance understanding of lexical collocation

Learning Outcomes
1. Recognise and use appropriate grammatical forms.
2. Analyse and produce complex sentences.
3. Use metalanguage to describe and analyse texts.
4. Extract information from complex texts.
5. Minimum exit level B2 (CEFR)
