Description
The purpose of this module is to further develop proficiency and understanding of language use at an advanced level; To investigate different uses of syntax, grammar and usage in diverse settings; To enhance semantic and lexical collocation; To further develop the ability to produce well structured, accurate and appropriate language for different purposes. The minimum exit level for this module is B2:2 (CEFR).

1. Extract meaning from texts and larger stretches of discourse.
2. Use appropriate and complex grammatical forms.
3. Produce well structured, semantically rich texts.
4. Produce accurate and appropriate texts in written contexts.

Independent learning168Students will work both independently and in groups on language awareness worksheets throughout the semester. Students will develop a glossary of grammatical terms. Students will analyse grammar books and dictionaries and report back to the class.
