Description
This module aims to reinforce the students ability to write cohesively, developing sound arguments and critically reflect on own writing style. It also aims to promote the use of the Harvard Referencing system whilst citing, paraphrasing and / or listing references.

Learning Outcomes
1. Cite and Reference fully a wide range of material (books/ Journals/ websites etc) - from single author or multiple authors - in-text and in list of references using the Harvard References system
2. Identify and use quotations from authentic key theorists and / or practitioners in the particular fields of study
3. Develop sound arguments utilising material drawn from a variety of relevant and authentic sources including own perspective.
4. Discern writing approaches that are appropriate for different assessment modes or professional practices - such as essay, reflective diaries, learning logs, lesson plans, training reports
5. Use the VLE (Moodle effectively
6. Access library material from various sources

Authenticating Sources - Identification of key theorists/ practitioners in area of research.

Citing and referencing & Plagiarism - Harvard Referencing System - Citing/ Quoting in-text, Creating a List of References.

Theme 5.
Paraphrasing Material from single and multiple sources.

Theme 6.
Critical Writing and integrating personal perspectives in writing.

Theme 7.
Different writing approaches - Essay writing/ Reflective Diary writing/ Lesson Plan writing/ Powerpoint Presentation writing/ Report writing.
