To introduce students to the development of education at primary and post-primary levels in Ireland.To highlight patterns of development, engagement and provision in relation to the various parties involved in provision since the inception of the primary system.To encourage students to engage with the various philosophical issues pertaining to schooling as a historically and contemporaneously contested territory.To raise student awareness of recent issues arsing in educational policy in relation to teaching, curriculum and the teaching body. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The position of school children, parents and society generally in relation to provision. The position of teachers andmanagement within schools..
