To equip student teachers with the ability to define, create and maintain an effective learningenvironment. To introduce students to contemporary approaches in a range of teaching &learning skills. To develop confidence in a range of initial teaching skills through reviews,analysis, demonstration. 1. Describe the content, methodology and assessment techniques of the Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle syllabus in modern languages as taught in second-level schools 2. Map an appropriate teaching scheme for the Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle Syllabus in modern languages as taught in second-level schools. 3. Articulate and relate the appropriate teaching methods and specific challenges in delivering modern languages as taught in second-level schools. 4. Design a range of resources appropriate for use in the teaching modern languages as taught in second-level schools. 5.
