Description
The aim of the module is to introduce students to the study at Masters level of leadership and management in education and training settings. Students will explore a range of disciplinary theories of organisation, leadership and management and will work reflectively to explore their implications for leadership and management practice in education and training settings.

Learning Outcomes
1. Describe a broad range of leadership and management theories and their implications for practice
2. Articulate the strengths and weaknesses of a range of theories
3. Articulate personal theories of leadership and management
4. Demonstrate the ability to critically analyse theories in current education and training contexts
5. Reflect on and critically evaluate personal knowledge, skills, behaviours, attitudes and effectiveness
6. Demonstrate increased capacity to engage with academic literature and conventions
