Description
Students who complete this module will be able to consider the societal context in which individual's engage with lifelong learning. Arising from reflective practice students will be able to create innovative approaches for the practice of guidance and counselling in lifelong learning.

Learning Outcomes
1. Discuss coherently issues related to theories of lifelong learning.
2. Analyse the impact of an individual's societal context on his/her ability to engage with lifelong learning.
3. Express insights gained from the study of sociology of education.
4. Adapt their practice as guidance counsellors to account for issues of difference in lifelong learning.
