To equip student teachers with the ability to define, create and maintain an effective learningenvironment. To introduce students to contemporary approaches in a range of teaching &learning skills. To develop confidence in a range of initial teaching skills through reviews,analysis, demonstration, peer coaching and guided feedback To provide students with adetailed knowledge and understanding of the content and assessment methodology of the Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle curricula in curriculum English in second-level schools.All students are required to participate in Micro-teaching as part of this module. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

1. Describe the content, methodology and assessment techniques of the Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle syllabus in curriculum English as taught in second-level schools 2. Map an appropriate teaching scheme for the Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle Syllabus in curriculum English as taught in second-level schools. 3. Articulate and relate the appropriate teaching methods and specific challenges in delivering curriculum English as taught in second-level schools. 4. Design a range of resources appropriate for use in the teaching curriculum English as taught in second-level schools. 5.
