To equip student teachers with the ability to define, create and maintain an effective learningenvironment. To introduce students to contemporary approaches in a range of teaching &learning skills. 1. Describe the content, methodology and assessment techniques of the Junior Cycle and Senior Cyclesyllabus in Music as taught in second-level schools. 2. Map an appropriate teaching scheme for the Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle Syllabus in Music as taughtin second-level schools. 3. Articulate and relate the appropriate teaching methods and specific challenges in delivering Music astaught in second-level schools. 4. Design a range of resources appropriate for use in the teaching Music as taught in second-levelschools. 5. Work in collegiality with colleagues in the interests of sharing, promoting, developing and supportingbest professional practice in the teaching of Science in second level schools. 6.
