Description
The module sets the level B1.2 from the Common European framework of Reference (CEFR) as its minimum exit level.The overall objectives of the course are to consolidate the students'language competence and increase their fluency, to provide them with skills that would enable them to react in an autonomous manner in any professional or social situation that may arise in the course of a placement or work experience abroad, to develop personal language learning strategies that will enable them to become more autonomous language users and learners, to gain an understanding of the foreign work market, with specific reference to their own domain and to understand cultural differences between French-speaking countries and Ireland in the area of work and recruitment.

Learning Outcomes
1. Put together a Curriculum Vitae and a letter of application for a job/work placement in French.
2. Conduct a job interview in French.
3. Demonstrate intercultural awareness about the job market and the working conditions in French-speaking countries.
4. Describe a company in terms of its structure, products and goals.
5. Write a clear and well structured report on a company.
