Description
This module sets the level B1.2 from the Common European Framework as its minimum exit level.The overall objective of the module is to provide students with skills that will enable them to become autonomous learners in the partner institution, to increase language proficiency, to facilitate their use of different registers of language in written and oral production and to gain an insight into sociocultural adaptation issues.

Learning Outcomes
1. Reflect on cultural differences between France and Ireland
2. Demonstrate the ability to conduct an interview with a native speaker.
3. Present researched information in an accurate and interesting manner, supported by audiovisual aids.
4. Identify and assimilate different language registers according to the relevant sociocultural context.
5. Produce written material in support of or against a particular point of view.

Preparation for period of study in France through consolidation of oral and written language skills.
