Description
This module sets the level B2.2/C1.1 from the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) as its minimum exit level. Throughout the semester, students will experience and reflect on a broad range of face-to-face and online oral practices (spoken production and interaction). They will work towards attaining a high level of oral fluency and accuracy in all situations.Students are expected to attend all classes and to participate fully in the proposed learning activities, in class and out of class (face-to-face and online).

Learning Outcomes
1. Present orally clear and detailed descriptions on a wide range of subjects, and explain various view points, face-to-face and online (e.g. Pecha Kucha, podcasts)
2. Follow and contribute to group discussions, face-to-face and online (e.g. audioconferencing, videoconferencing), on familiar as well as unfamiliar topics
3. Chair and fully participate in formal face-to-face and online meetings (e.g. videoconferencing)
4. Draw on a broad lexical repertoire to express himself/herself accurately without restriction in a broad range of oral situations
5. Maintain a high level of spoken fluency and accuracy
6. Adopt a level of spoken formality appropriate to the situation

Indicative Content and Learning Activities
Spoken production.
Students will practise their spoken production skills through exercises conducted in class (e.g. Pecha Kucha practice) and online (e.g. production of podcasts, pronunciation work)..

Spoken interaction.
Students will engage in pair and group work, face-to-face and online. Activities may include informal conversations, problem solving, debates, meetings, etc...
