Description
INACTIVE - This module sets the level A1 from the Common European Framework of Reference as its minimum exit level. The module aims to to expand the communicative skills and grammar base acquired in GE101 and introduce students to new features of the the language. Students will be familiarised with a wider range of everyday situations which will require the use of additional linguistic skills. The module also aims to enhance students language learning strategies.

Learning Outcomes
1. Show competence in negotiating everday situations with an acceptable level of pronuncation
2. Identify the main points from a range audiovisual resources in German.
3. Extract information from basic texts in different registers of language
4. Demonstrate grammatical awareness and competence and knowledge of key vocabulary appropiate to this level
5. Demonstrate the ability to use on-line language resources
