Description
This module sets the level A2 from the Common European Framework of Reference as its minimum exit level. The module aims to further develop students' personal learning strategies that will enable them to become autonomous language users and learners. The module also seeks to consolidate students' language competence through a revision of key grammatical structures in context, increase fluency in spoken and written interaction through German and develop awareness of contemporary cultural aspects in Germany and the German-speaking countries.

Learning Outcomes
1. Demonstrate grammatical awareness and accuracy at A2 level
2. Engage with texts, both written and oral, from a wide-range of authentic resources
3. Perform a simple and effective Powerpoint presentation in German
4. Reflect on and evaluate his/her learning experience and outcomes

Indicative Content and Learning Activities
German Language 1.
The course is conducted through German. Classroom sessions are interactive and learner-centered. The syllabus focuses on increasing the language fluency and accuracy as well as covering essential cultural aspects through a variety of tasks, class activities and group projects. Students will be asked to work in pairs/groups and complete a variety of language assignments/tasks..
