Description
The management report is a capstone assignment during which students undertake research into an aspect of HRM that has the potential to make a contribution to improvements in organisational performance. The management report brings together the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired during the course of the taught element of the programme and is underpinned by the module 'Researching HRM'.Students will get hands-on experience in the process of creating a management report-from its inception to completion.

Learning Outcomes
1. Identify a HR issue that is of strategic relevance to an organisation
2. Critically discuss existing literature relevant to their chosen research topic
3. Evaluate the different research tools and techniques useful for the collection and analysis of data
4. Analyse the research approach suitable for their chosen topic
5. Systematically analyse quantitative and/or qualitative data and present the results in a clear and consistent format
6. Interpret the data collected as part of their fieldwork
7. Critique the research findings in the light of the literature review
8. Draw realistic and appropriate conclusions and make practical and actionable recommendations for change
