Description
The aim of this module is to present a clear and comprehensive picture of organisational change and development so that students will acquire the knowledge and skill required to manage change more effectively.This module will equip students with a set of tools used to 'measure' organisations and their preparedness for and possibilities of change. Different origins of change require different actions. Students will be able to identify the factors one must consider in any change initiative.

Learning Outcomes
1. Discuss the multi-dimensional nature of organisational change
2. Evaluate models of change management and recommend appropriate methods of implementing change
3. Identify obstacles often encountered in change management
4. Recommend strategies to overcome obstacles to change
5. Explain the role of organisational culture, politics and leadership in facilitating and impeding the change process
