Description
This module aims to familiarise participants to the Human aspects of Emergency Team Development focusing on both the psycho-physiological and psycho-social aspects of behaviour in emergency situations.The module aims to consider the psychological dynamics in emergency situations from the perspective of various players including the various branches of emergency professionals, victims (or potential victims), relatives, general public, media, etc,.The module will deliver insights on emergency team dynamics and developmentThe modules will assist participants consider the difficulty of emergency team leadership and how necessary adaptability to context becomes.

Learning Outcomes
1. Appraise the potential impact of emergency situations on psychological functioning (cognitive, emotional and behavioural) of those involved
2. Employ tools and models for recognising and managing their thoughts, feelings and reactions in high demand situations
3. Evaluate and identify the differentialaspects of leadership required in different crisis scenarios and atdifferent phases of an emergency
4. Appreciate and facilitate the complexity of team interaction and decision-making in emergency contexts.
