INACTIVE - To improve ability to understand and use complex grammatical structures. Consolidation of previously acquired language ability To develop communicative and aural skills with the introduction of more elaborate language structures To increase proficiency in Japanese pronunciation and intonation. Consolidation of 350 kanji acquired in Year 1 Acquisition of an additional 200 Kanji

Learning Outcomes
1. Communicate on simple everyday activities and topics in Japanese.
2. Write a short text on an everyday topic using 550 kanji (characters).
3. Read a short text written using fewer than 550 Kanji.
4. Demonstrate elementary ability to use different linguistic politeness registers.
5. Recognise and reproduce 200 additional kanji.
