1. Communicate on simple everyday activities and topics in Japanese. 2. Write a short text on an everyday topic using 550 kanji (characters). 3. Read a short text written using fewer than 550 Kanji. 4. Demonstrate elementary ability to use different linguistic politeness registers. 5.
