To introduce the student to more advanced translation texts, with a view to providing a better understanding of general translation practice.

Learning Outcomes |
1. Translate simple newspaper articles from Japanese into English
2. Use appropriate background documentation, relevant to the task of translation (eg dictionaries)
3. Generate electronic glossaries using on-line resources
4. Write grammatically correct, natural English texts
