1. Distinguish the various strands of global interconnectivity i.e. economic, political and cultural and to identify the interaction between these sectors 2. Describe processes of modern global culture as a complex interconnectivity between local, national and global cultural influences. 3. Identify social and economic carrier groups of global culture and their localised features in different national contexts 4. Critically discuss various theoretical points of view as can be found in the literature in relation to the topic 5. To identify and research social phenomena in relation to their global interconnections, in particular in the areas of tourism, communication, popular culture and social movements 6.
