Description
This module aims to raise students' awareness of the issues that arise in an intercultural work environment and to provide them the tools to engage effectively with such issues; to examine students' own cultural conditioning and prejudices influencing their ability to interact successfully within an intercultural workplace; to explore issues relating to interacting with different linguistic and cultural norms and values, different learning styles, minorities, diversity; and to examine existing theories of intercultural communication and management in a business context and see how they might provide a theoretical framework for interpreting and solving intercultural conflicts in the workplace.

Learning Outcomes
1. Deal effectively with intercultural issues that arise in a variety of intercultural work environments
2. Demonstrate an awareness of various theoretical frameworks of intercultural management and intercultural communication
3. Apply these to assist them in dealing with intercultural issues arising in the intercultural workplace
