Description
To identiy and examine the most significant principles and rules of law that have a direct bearing on business, focusing on the particular aspects of Irish law which are of relevance to businesses;To investiage the legal rights and obligations applicable to Irish businesses;To consider the legal implications of business decisions and relationships;

Learning Outcomes
1. Identify the key principles of Irish Contract, Tort and Commercial Law
2. Explain the impact of EU law on Irish law as it applies to business
3. Apply the principles of Irish Contract, Tort and Commercial law to common commercial problems
4. Critique the legal implications of business decisions and relationships
5. Locate, classify and summarise relevant legal materials in regard to contract, tort and commercial law

Express and Implied Terms.
4. Sale of Goods.

Implied Terms Arising under the Sale of Goods Act 1893 and the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980.
5. Consumer Protection.

Consumer Protection measures under the Consumer Protection Act 2007 and EU Consumer Law.
6. Exemption Clauses.

7. Introduction to Negligence.
8. Professional Negligence.

9. Products Liability.
10. Occupiers' Liability.

11. Employers' Liability.
