Description

INACTIVE - By building on the outcomes gained from LG201, students will understand the mechanics of share and loan financing, examinership and the consequences thereof.

Learning Outcomes

1. Understand how a company is financed.
2. Explain how share capital is raised and the rights and duties of shareholders.
3. Explain the main principles involved in raising secured and unsecured loans, and the rights and duties involved in securing these loans by debentures.
4. Understand the function of the reciever and manager
5. Appreciate the role of court protection and the role of the examiner.
6. Give advice to shareholders on their rights when shareholder oppression occurs.
