This module critically examines legal attempts to combat discrimination and promote equality in a comparative context; in particular, it focuses on the rules of Irish and EU anti-discrimination law. It examines the structural nature and practice of discrimination and assesses the role and effectiveness of law in tackling and remedying this phenomenon. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

1. Describe and outline the scope and operation of the rules of anti-discrimination law 2. Apply the law to factual situations and construct an effective argument 3.
