This module takes a legal and sociological approach to exploring the regulation of contemporary working life in Europe. The module examines the changing nature of contemporary work organisation and legal and policy responses by the EU and national states. The module assesses critically how laws and policies at EU and Member State level have protected workers collective and individual rights by looking at a range of hard and soft law instruments that govern relationships between workers, employers, the state and the EU. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
