Description
This aims of this module are:To provide students with a general introduction to the main features of both the Irish legal system;To develop an appreciation of the legal implications of business decisions and relationships;To supply more detailed information about particular aspects of Irish law relevant to businesses.

Learning Outcomes
1. Identify and explain the key components of the Irish legal system and its connection with EU membership
2. Analyse the key principles of Irish law as they apply in the business context
3. Examine the role and impact of contract law in the business environment
4. Discuss the legal framework governing the employment relationship
5. Evaluate the legal requirements involved in the formation and management of companies
6. Critically analyse problems with reference to case law, legislation and academic literature
