This module is deisgned to assist you in the preparation of your thesis. You will have the opportunity to learn about research design, to discuss different techniques you might use and how to bring a research project like a dissertation to completion.

Learning Outcomes
1. Design a dissertation research project
2. Choose the appropriate methodological approach for yout thesis question
3. Carry out an independent piece of research
4. Complete a Masters dissertation

Indicative Content and Learning Activities
Course Outline.
This course will be structured around a series of seminars and outline readings and discussions designed to assist students in designing and carrying out their MA dissertation. It will explore alternative research design strategies and different methodologies which are appropriate for research in development.
