Description
This module’s broad aim is to develop students’ skills and abilities to conduct research within a development context as well as to understand and interpret research findings. The module specifically aims at preparing students to, in the immediate term, undertake the thesis component of the MDEV course and, over the longer term, to be able to undertake and/or oversee research within the course of their professional lives.

Learning Outcomes
1. 1. Interpret and critically assess development research at both policy and academic levels
2. 2. Design, conduct and manage development research at an academic level and in the field
3. Design, carry out and deliver a Masters dissertation
