Description
- To introduce students to the nature and significance of operating systems and operations management.- To introduce the students to the market context of operations management.- To develop an understanding of and a capacity to use the tools and techniques of operations management for planning and control of manufacturing systems.- To develop a working knowledge and understanding of the factors involved in planning and controlling a manufacturing system.

2. Compare and contrast the main modern approaches to operations management
3. Demonstrate an awareness of the changing nature of the discipline
