This module examines the need for robust safety management in all areas of the Aviation Sector. In particular it highlights the regulatory management of aviation safety and the operational issues associated with the introduction and maintenance of effective safety management systems. It also introduces students to a range of policies, procedures, tools and techniques which may be used to build effective safety in the aviation industry. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

1. Determine the Regulatory Framework within which the Aviation Industry must operate. 2. Identify and describe the methods used to introduce, monitor and maintain appropriate safety standards within all aspects of the Aviation Industry. 3. Distinguish between the various methods which may be used to build robust safety management within Air Traffic Control, Airport, Airline and Aircraft operations. 4.
