Description
This module will provide programme participants with the skills to identify, analyse and assess the variety of hazards facing individuals, organisations and communities and to identify strategies for managing those hazards including steps to reduce likelihood of occurrence and mitigate impact.

Learning Outcomes
1. Explain the concepts of risk analysis, risk assessment, mitigation and resilience
2. Critique the various approaches which may be used to classify and categorise risks as well as measure hazards and their potential impact
3. Compare and contrast a range of tools for plotting risks and creating relativities
4. Determine strategies for managing risks, including the development of strategies for mitigation and building organisational and community resilience
