The aim of this module is to develop students understanding of leading edge thinking in the area of strategic procurement.Students will be able at the end of this module to adapt the strategic perspective of procurement thus adding increased value to the organizations in which they operate.

Learning Outcomes
1. Develop and critically appraise procurement performance measures for their organisation
2. Analyse, describe and critique the strategic nature of procurement
3. Demonstrate how procurement can align itself with corporate objectives through case analysis, discussion and presentation
4. Identify and critique the role of ethics in procurement
5. Identify, appraise, and critique the environmental and legislative factors that influence strategic procurement decisions
