Description
This module is divided into two parts: the first part of the module provides an advanced overview of high-level cognitive function and dysfunction in areas such as problem-solving and expertise, decision-making, concept formation, psychology of language and language acquisition, and executive function. The second part of the module will focus on advanced topics in visual cognition, including face recognition, social cognition, attention, perception and action.

Learning Outcomes
1. Evaluate key theories of high and low level cognitive function covered in the module
2. Critically consider key studies covered in the module
3. Identify and analyse key factors influencing high and low level cognitive function
4. Critically consider the causes, development and remediation of disordered high and low level cognitive function
