Description
|
Students have an element of choice in the selection of their placement, in order to broaden their clinical experience and develop knowledge and skills in a practice setting that reflects the students own particular interests. The aim of this module is for students to exercise personal initiative in planning a practice placement and negotiating their own learning experiences and outcomes. Electives are an innovative and creative form of approaching student-centered learning, within contemporary nurse education programmes. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for the student to plan and organize a short period of work under the guidance and direction of their module coordinator.The student receives a short briefing on this module by the coordinator.
