Description
This second internship module will assist the student in developing and exercising initiative and responsibility in practice setting within their scope of practice. In addition this module will assist the student in making the transition to the role of registered nurse.

Learning Outcomes
1. Demonstrate increasing independence in nursing care delivery and decision making within scope of practice.
2. Develop nursing knowledge and skills in preparation for transition from the role of students to staff nurse.
3. Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with patients (adults/children), their families and the multidisciplinary team in both adult and child care settings.
4. Apply research findings to nursing practice.
5. Accept increasing responsibility for nursing care delivery to a caseload of patients (adults/children) and their families.
6. Demonstrate competence in more complex nursing procedures, including medication management.
