Description
This module will enable students to expand their knowledge and understanding of nursing practice and by integrating nursing and theory will develop students in nursing skills

Learning Outcomes
1. Provide holistic care to patients with a variety of healthcare needs in the medical-surgical setting
2. Provide family centered nursing care to children with a variety of healthcare needs in the medical-surgical setting
3. Interact effectively and appropriately with the child, adult, families and other members of the healthcare organisation
4. Demonstrate an understanding of the role of the nurse/midwife in the specialist area
5. Contribute to the multi-disiplinary team including the dissemination of information to other members of the team both verbally and written
