Description
Participants on this module will develop a working knowledge of the nature and practice of a cooperative approach to leading change in healthcare organisations. Furthermore they will develop the knowledge and skills to lead service improvements in partnership as service users, carers and service providers

Learning Outcomes
1. Engage in a process of open dialoguetrialogue around multiple perspectives that impact on mental health and healthcare
2. Analyse the social, political and cultural influences that impact on service improvement projects
3. Critically appraise models of organisational leadership and change
4. Demonstrate an ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with service users, carers, professionals and other groups in the health care community through a participatory action process of engagement
5. Demonstrate individual and group leadership skills in facilitating a service improvement initiative
6. Evaluate the concepts ofcitizenship,social inclusion,evidence based practice andvalues based practice in the context of mental health care
