Description
This module provides the nurse with an opportunity to appraise clinical practice in the urgent care setting incorporating the diagnosis, management and discharge/referral of individuals with minor injuries/illnesses.

Learning Outcomes
1. Analyse the range of interventions necessary for the effective management of patient groups with minor injuries/illnesses.
2. Critique the strategies that underpin diagnosis in the minor injuries and illnesses setting.
3. Appraise the use of clinical protocols in the diagnosis and management of individuals with diverse minor injuries and illnesses.
4. Explain the challenges and supports required to develop the role of the Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the minor injuries /illness context.
5. Evaluate the documentation processes required in the minor injuries/illness context.
