Description
This module will facilitate the students professional development as a practising counsellor and psychotherapist by ensuring effective monitoring and evaluation of their work with clients through the supervision relationship.

Learning Outcomes
1. Explore the dynamic process underlying the therapist-client relationship at supervision
2. Critique in supervision the key aspects of their therapy practice, such as the therapeutic alliance, therapeutic strategies, application of theory and application of professional and ethical codes
3. Examine in supervision how contextual factors such as referral, teamwork and multi-disciplinary collaboration, and boundary issues mediate their casework
4. Use the group supervisory process constructively in his/her professional development, through effective presentation of cases, group participation, and appropriate assimilation of group feedback
5. Identify how personal unfinished business interacts with ones therapeutic work with clients and address such issues in personal therapy
6. Demonstrate a personal integration of theory and skills into practice with the personal development necessary for personal readiness to practice.
