Description
Part 1 focuses on the child developing within the individual, family and social contexts. Part 2 reviews behaviour, motivation, and learning readiness in the classroom context.

Learning Outcomes
1. Evaluate major concepts, theoretical perspectives, empirical findings, and historical trends in both Developmental and Educational Psychology
2. Analyse the complexity of socio-cultural and international diversity within a psychological and educational setting
3. Solve problems related to behavioural and mental processes through critical and creative thinking, and sceptical inquiry
4. Apply psychological principles to personal, social, and organizational issues
5. Consider how psychological principles can be used to explain social issues and inform public policy, and in particular, educational policy
6. Evaluate, and appropriately utilise, methods and approaches used in psychological research, including statistical inference and hypothesis testing, and comparing independent and dependent samples
