Description
In this module students will develop knowledge and skills in the use of external supports in prevention and treatment of injuries, sport specific injuries epidemiology and how to bring together the principles of injury prevention, consultation skills, proper history taking, clinical assessment in order to make a differential diagnosis and plan sports injury treatment and rehabilitation in the overall care of athletes

Learning Outcomes
1. List and describe external supports used to treat and prevent injuries
2. Identify risks associated to sports
3. Match injuries and sports according to epidemiological data
4. Choose the appropriate biomechanical test to improve diagnosis making and treatment planning
5. Integrate epidemiological knowledge and biomechanical tests findings into the processes of making a diagnosis, planning a treatment and predicting the clinical outcomes
