Description
Part 1 covers social cognition and perception, attitudes, behaviour, and motivation. Part 2 examines organisational, individual and group perspectives.

Learning Outcomes
1. Identify, and describe, key historical and current theory and research in the areas of social psychology and organisational psychology
2. Describe the processes of individual cognition as they relate to social information processing and influence behaviour
3. Outline, and describe, motives and drives which underpin social behaviour in humans
4. Describe the role of social influence on behaviour in groups and organisations
5. Identify real life scenarios in light of theory from applied topics in social psychology, such as interpersonal relationships, aggression, and health
6. Identify advantages and limitations of common methods and approaches used for research in social psychology and organisational psychology
7. Identify, and describe, various perspectives and approaches used to study organisational psychology, including the individual, the organisation, and the dynamic process between the two
8. Describe key concepts and theories in organisational psychology, including organisational structure, communication, technology, and leadership
9. Describe how psychological factors can contribute towards the advances and limitations of an organisations effectiveness
10. Evaluate, and appropriately utilise, methods and approaches used in psychological research, including experimental designs and ethics in psychological research
