Conference Dinner & Dunsink Event

The organising committee have identified the opportunity to hold a conference session in the Dunsink Observatory, part of the School of Cosmic Physics within the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. This important historical site for Irish science, Astronomy and Astrophysics is inextricably linked with Sir William Rowan Hamilton. Hamilton was Ireland’s greatest mathematician, whose work, on dynamics, is of fundamental importance (through quantum theory) in many aspects of modern-day science. Visiting Dunsink Observatory, which is situated just under 12 km from DCU, lends itself very nicely to the conference themes of developing skills that can be transferred between one science and another.
