What the Academy is about:
DCU Athletics Academy is an athlete led programme whereby support services and expertise are tailored to the individual needs of the athlete. The academy operates in providing a pathway to allow students to develop and succeed in sport at whatever level theywish to participate.

Athletes within the programme have the benefit of international competition in Europe all year round. Most destinations within Europe are no more than a 3 or 4 hour journey from the DCU campus. The success of the programme to date saw the introduction of DCUInternational where athletes of all levels can now avail of international competition to suit their standard. Frequent visits to competitions in Belgium, Holland, France, Spain, Portugal and England, has allowed athletes to gain the valuable international experience required to perforat the highest levels.
