Arts Bursary - Aim of the Awards
The Arts Bursary was first established in 2009/10. It was officially launched in November 2011 in the Space, The Helix. The Arts Bursary is jointly funded by the Office of Student Life and DCU's Educational Trust.
The application process for the 2011/12 Academic year has closed. We had 21 applications this year and 10 students will be awarded a bursary at the Arts Bursary Awards Ceremony on Wednesday 4th April in the Blue Room in the Helix. The Ceremony will take place from 1-2pm.
The aim of the Arts Bursary is to promote excellence in cultural activities at Dublin City University through the award of bursaries to selected students. The awards will be given to assist or encourage those students who represent DCU with distinction at national and international level in a performance, or produce work at a level the Panel considers as being the equivalent.
The Arts Bursary will help individuals who aspire towards high levels of achievements and encourage present and future students to identify Dublin City University as an institution promoting excellence in academic and cultural activities.
