Wynn Reader
Wynn Reader is a package designed for people with Specific Learning Difficulties. In addition to the assistance it provides with reading, Wynn Reader also allows the user to alter the appearance of documents on screen.

Scanned text or text stored on the computer or floppy disk can be read aloud to the user. Simultaneously, the text is highlighted in an alternative colour, to assist the user in reading. An example of this is shown below in Fig.6a.

The user can access Wynn Reader by double clicking the icon on the desktop, an example of which can be seen in Fig.6b below.

A login box will then appear in which the user should enter their name and select "Yes" when asked if they would like to become a new user. Wynn Reader has a similar layout to most packages that operate with Windows. The most important tab is the File tab in the top left hand corner which can be seen in Fig.6c below.

The main options contained in the file menu are;
- New
- Open
- Save as

The "Save as" option prompts the user to enter a file name and the document will be stored under this name, in a location specified by the user, for future use.
To use Wynn Reader to access a Word document, the user must open Wynn Reader first and then access the document. -
There are four main options in Wynn reader, which can be seen below in Fig.6e.

The user can begin writing by pressing the "Write" button and they can request text to be read to them by pressing the "Read" button. Text is highlighted as it is read and the document is stored in the user's folder, in Wynn Reader, until the next time the user logs in.
